Card #50 for 2025

Dearest blog readers,
I'm a lot crabby today.  I suppose this will sound
rather spoiled, but our wifi just keeps going in and out
all day long.  I know there has been awful conditions here
so I'm truly grateful we have heat/water and power, except
the internet service just is on the fritz.  But goodness gracious
it can test a gal's patience, from phone to tv to printer, etc.  I sound
awfully spoiled.  Forgive me for that.  I'm grateful.  But I'm human.
I made a card with plants again.  I tried dusting my plants this
morning, and well that's quite a bit of work, and Patriot was no
help jumping at each leaf, so I just gave up until he is in his kennel.
I decided a plant card seems more pleasant.  I will enter it in the challenge
The stamp set I used in this card is:
Rubber Stamps: Aloe there.
I don't know where I got this set from, perhaps amazon.
I stamped, colored and cut out the images, found some DSP
that seems to be pleasing for the plants and then began the layering.
I love puns, and plants, so this set was perfect,
I do remember thinking that when I purchased it.
Patriot was getting impatient with me and wanted
to see out the window.
He finally figured out how to do it without
me lifting the blinds.  He loves to stand and
watch the squirrels.  He also nabs my hanging
flower that's to the left of him, but not in this picture.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Gen 1:29NKJV
And God said, “See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which
is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food.

Card #49 for 2025

Dearest blog readers,
I hope all is going well.
After getting my house chores done and a few
minutes training the dog I was able to get a card made.
I will enter this card in the challenge at:
The stamp sets I used are:
Stampin Up:  Sending Sunshine
Hero Arts: Safari huge thanks
I started off making an ocean scene with the horizon,
and then thought that won't work for my safari animals.
so I opted for brown as to represent the plains or savanna.
The black was giving me some trouble, so I had to use a
marker to color in some places where it didn't stamp nicely.
I love the sweet little elephants walking off into the sunset.
I'm not a coffee drinker, but I loved this "filter" on
the camera, and thought I'd use it.  Patriot pup
is feeling a wee bit better.  Thank the LORD.
He was resting under my Bible study desk this morning
while I was reading, so when I peaked down he looked
up to see what I wanted.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Gen 1:24 NKJV
Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth the living creature
according to its kind: cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth,
each according to its kind”; and it was so.

Card #48 for 2025

Dearest blog readers,
I hope you will have some time to relax and stamp
this weekend.
I'm trying to squeeze in the time.  Our puppy hasn't
been feeling well.  But don't be fooled, he's still all
energy, in fact I shared a few reels on Instagram.
But nevertheless, it's a worry and stress, when you
don't know what's wrong with him.  So we finally
got him into the vet.  Booking an appointment is a
whole ordeal here now.  It is like calling the clinic
for a human.  The long list of "please listen carefully
as our menu options have changed" then you finally
press the correct number only to be put on hold.
So after a pretty penny is spent, which we barely
scraped together, we are relieved it's ear infections
and not a UTI or kidney issues.  So the little guy
started his meds and we are hoping it will go well
and a quick recovery.  at 8 months old he now
weighs 43 pounds.  He's all muscle.
I will enter this card in the challenge at:
The stamp sets I used in this card are:
Stampin up:
Trees for sale
gorgeous grunge
family & friends
I stamped the splatter red for the background, and then cut my
dsp strips for the next layer.  After that I stamped, colored and cut
all the images and then began just placing them down, using pop
dots where needed for extra dimension.  I also added wink of
stella glitter to the lights above the trees.  I added the sentiment
and gold twine to the top of it by placing it down with glue dots.
I finished it off with 3 little red embellishments.  Do you find them all?

Here is Patriot Pup after coming home from the vet.
The verse I chose for this card is:
John 1:9NKJV
That[a] was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world.

Card #47 for 2025

Dearest blog readers, Happy First day of Spring.
We woke up to 7 inches of snow.  Welcome
to Wisconsin spring.
I will enter this card in the challenge at:

Our Leader to follow this fortnight is Kristin
The stamp sets I used are:
Stampin UP:
Decorated with happiness
Birthday backgrounds
I decided to make a Christmas card using the Layout that
Kristin has with her card, along with the yellow, green and blue.
I also used a background stamp for the speckles.
Patriot pup loves the snow.  I wish
he'd be a little more calm, but this
springer is just always on go from
sun up until sun down.
He thinks all the snowflakes are little cakes
to enjoy.
Part of our yard, and just earlier
this week it was all grass.
The verse I chose for this card is:
2 Cor 9:15NKJV
Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!

Card #46 for 2025

Dearest blog readers, we sure got the snow today.
Perfect weather for making Christmas cards.
Well, you know me, I love making Christmas cards
and don't really ever need an excuse.  They are my
favorite cards to make.
I will enter this card in the challenge at:
step away from the REDGREEN and GOLD
Well, I didn't use red, green or gold, but it might
be a little more traditional then pinks, lavenders, and aqua colors.
I love a nice deep blue and silver Christmas card.  I thought it would work
perfectly for a star filled night as the shepherd watched the flock
and the sky for the star of wonder.  After stamping, coloring and cutting the
images, I used pop dots for the shepherd and sheep.  I diecut the star and
added an embellishment to the center.
The stamp sets I used are:
Stampin Up:
Shepherd's card
Night Divine
Star of light
Patriot pup is very much loving the snow.
He's waiting patiently in his chair.
A few pictures of the the snow by 5 this
evening.  We've got more.
another picture.
and the last one for today
The verse I chose for this card today is:
Luke 2:8NKJV
Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields,
keeping watch over their flock by night.

Card #45 for 2025

Dearest blog readers,
I'm going on about 4 hours of sleep, just
a lot of stressful things going on here lately,
but so grateful to take a few minutes to make a card.
I will enter this card in the challenge at:
The stamp sets I used are:
Stampin Up
Thoughtful blooms
Storybook life
I stamped this card 4x before finally getting
a nice image.  I had ink smears, and mess ups.
But I stuck with the idea and I love how springy it
turned out.  Perfect for an Easter card.
Patriot pup was really interested in the squirrels
this afternoon.  He even wagged his little tail.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Psalm 85:11KJV
Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness
shall look down from heaven.

Card #44 for 2025

Dearest blog readers, we received a
notice in the mail today that was quite
unexpected and alarming.  So as we get
ready to tackle this problem in the coming
week, it looks like I will be making some changes
to my hobbies.  I will share more later.
For now let's focus on the card.  One of my hobbies
is reading so I thought this was the perfect sketch to
play along with at:
The stamp sets I used are:
Stampin Up:
For the books
MFT:
Our story
The three horizontal rectangles remind me
of bookshelves, so I started stamping the books
and cute little gal reading, after coloring and
cutting came the placement.   This card I will
be giving to my darling Husband.  He knows how
much I love to read.
Here is a picture of Patriot pup begging for
his little cheese snack.
The verse I chose for this card is:
2 Timothy 2:15KJV
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth
not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
